Wearable Sensors

SENSORS GOING TO HELP DEAF AND DUMB

SIGN LANGUAGE TO ENGLISH

Engineers at TEXAS & A.M universities are developing a sensor devices which can predict hand, muscle movements. This would create an ease by converting sign language to English and being a boon to deaf and dumb.

The device works by checking the gestures a person making by using two different sensors.
  • One that responds to the motions of the wrist
  • other responds to the muscular movements in arms
A program then wirelessly  receives this information and convert the data into the English language.
