Mukti Bhavan
Many of them are willing to leave their last breath in holy places like Kaasi in order to get mukthi, and some other will dip in holy water like Ganga to clean their sins and finally attain moksh.
Moksh or mukthi, is letting one's soul to mix in god's soul, which is explained as "Paramathma lo ikyam". Where one will never get next birth.
And a hotel called Mukthi Bhavan in Varanasi is believed in giving Mukthi to peple who leave there last breath over there.
It sounds bit odd, but every year thousand's of visitors are visiting this bhavan to attain moksh, which consists of 12 rooms with some priests to perform required rituals.
It is not considered as a place where mercy killing or mortuary is hold, as it is mostly used by old people who are about to die in 2 weeks. whenever a new person is joined, he is given a time of 2 weeks, if he is still alive, then he is supposed to vacate the room, giving space to newer one's.
Mostly this bhavan is filled with people in winter, as there is more death cases in winter. where as in summer, it is occupied by least visitors.
This bhavan is taken care by a manager called Bhairav Nath Shukla since 44 years. He lives with his family in the same compound,taking care of visitors and their Mukthi rituals.
